Tim McGraw has downplayed the incident in which he helped
eject an unruly fan from his concert. Out walking with wife
Faith Hill and their daughters in Los Angeles, he told
photographers who approached him and asked about the melee
that it was no big deal. "I was just trying to keep peace," he
said. When asked if he were "doing a better job than
security," McGraw replied, "They just couldn't get there in
time." McGraw helped members of his stage crew eject a fan
from his concert in Auburn, Wash., after seeing the man
assault a woman who was in one of the front rows.
Sugarland have included platinum tickets in five copies of the
deluxe fan edition of their new album, Love on the Inside,
which will be released on July 22. The prize includes a
round-trip ticket for two to Nashville, two tickets to the CMA
Awards, tour merchandise, a meet and greet with the duo and a
private performance.
The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum announced its second
class of inductees on Tuesday morning in Nashville. Booker T.
and the MGs, the Memphis Horns, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm
Section and Friends, the Crickets, Al Kooper and producer
Billy Sherrill will be formally inducted at a Nashville
ceremony and concert on Oct. 28. George Jones and Peter
Frampton announced the inductees at a press conference.
Inductees are nominated nationally by the Musicians Union,
which has a membership of over 90,000 musicians, as well as
other music industry professionals.
Keith Urban will add a newly recorded version of "You Look
Good in My Shirt" to his Greatest Hits album, which
will now be subtitled 19 Kids, rather than 18 Kids.
The updated album will be available on Aug. 19. The original
track was included on 2005's Golden Road but was not
released as a single. However, the concert staple is now
getting airplay on country radio. "The trick for this song was
to bring all of the live energy to the new recording," said
Urban. "I think that we accomplished that, and I'm glad that
we finally have the opportunity to give everyone what they've
been asking for." Keith Urban's Greatest Hits was
originally released in 2007. |
